Helen is an independent director serving on numerous, diverse and innovative organisations, and an entrepreneur with interests mostly in ICT, SaaS and mobile software platform based companies.
Helen is the Chair, The Network for Learning Ltd (N4L), a crown entity charged with improving educational outcomes by transforming all NZ schools (1m users) to technology-based learning environments. Helen is the Chair, CLOUD M, a mobile network platform company which develops real-time, automated health & safety & emergency management solutions and also chairs Mondiale Technologies Ltd, a company formed by Sir Ray Avery to develop radical, innovative, medical solutions which change the world. She acts as a Director for ATEED (Auckland Tourism Events & Economic Development), Auckland Sport, and NIWA (National Institute of Water & Atmospheric Research). Helen is a Council Member for Open Polytechnic NZ.
Helen has led many technology companies over the past 25 years, including as Managing Director for Microsoft, New Zealand, and as Vice President, Asia Pacific, for Pivotal Corporation, a North American software company. Most recently Helen was the CEO of the TZ1 Registry which was acquired by London based Markit Group Ltd in 2009, where she continued to act as Global Managing Director, Environmental Markets until mid-2011. Helen is Managing Director, Markets Registry, registry service provision for financial markets.
A theme of Helen's career has been a strong passion and drive to improve the quality of life for all, and to deliver value to stakeholders through innovation and technology.
Geoff Lawrie had 35 years of professional business experience in the technology and communications industry in New Zealand and Asia / Pacific, with 25 of those years spent in General Manager or Managing Director positions working for both large multinationals and locally listed companies.
Geoff is currently the New Zealand Country Manager for Cisco Systems. He was previously the Managing Director of GDC Communications Ltd, the MD of Microsoft’s operations in New Zealand, then Microsoft’s director of strategy development for the Asia Pacific region. Preceding Microsoft, Geoff held a number of senior sales and marketing related positions with Unisys.
Geoff was a Director of Brainz Instruments Ltd, a bio-technology start-up specialising in brain function monitoring equipment, from its commercial incorporation until its successful listing on the ASX three years later.
Geoff holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management and Marketing from Otago University, which he has supplemented with post graduate study courses in management and finance at Macquarie University in Sydney and Columbia University in New York. Geoff was the inaugural Chairman of NZTech, the industry association of New Zealand’s leading technology organisations, has been a board member of ITANZ (Information Technology Association of New Zealand) and ITAG (the Information Technology Advisory Group to the government).
Angela Henderson has spent the past 15 years establishing and managing enterprise Portfolio and PMO offices within business and technology divisions across international financial services organisations and national utilities. With over 12 years spent in the United Kingdom where she has worked in large International banks supporting banking integrations.
Angela is currently the IS Portfolio Manager for Watercare Services Limited, where she is leading a team of 35 staff to develop the PMO capability for the Information Systems department. Prior to joining Watercare she was living and working in London where she ran two large PMO teams, one for the full banking integration of two large UK banks - HBOS and Lloyds TSB and one BAU team for the running of Service Delivery in Group IT.
Angela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Policy, she is married to Malcolm and has a young daughter.
Glenda has a passion for people and has spent the past 20 years in a sales capacity for Information Technology organisations in New Zealand and Australia. Many of these years in the SAP Ecosystem working with customers to provide solutions where they can leverage SAP to drive strategic change and increase business value, resulting in a successful sales track record.
She is a highly effective networker and has built up a substantial personal and professional network where she enjoys bringing people and technology together, because at the end of the day, it’s all about people - people defining process, transformation and striving for success.
Glenda has a strong community focus that has seen her initiate events and training within the ICT community, being heavily involved in the NZ SAP User Group, as well as sitting on a board for an independent women’s refuge, fundraising over $100k and establishing two trusts for this refuge.
She is a member of the Institute of Directors and in her spare time is a Volunteer Lifeguard at Muriwai Beach in Auckland and an amateur swimmer and health blogger.
David Lamb is a Partner of PwC New Zealand and helps lead the Firm’s Financial Advisory Services business which comprises over 40 Partners and 300 professional staff. David has over 18 years of experience acting as an advisor to PwC’s clients, 10 as a Partner.
David’s core advisory specialty is founded in corporate taxation where he has extensive experience, but he is equally comfortable helping PwC’s clients navigate a wide range of emerging strategic and transformational challenges commonplace in the current business environment. He is familiar with a range of sectors and industries, but has a particular interest in the financial services, food & beverages, and horticultural sectors.
David has a passion for the development of people and in promoting a diverse and inclusive environment both at PwC and more broadly outside of PwC. He has played a key role in helping shape the direction of the Firm’s people strategy whilst previously serving as its People & Culture Partner with the introduction of mainstream flexible working across the business being a highlight.
Outside of work David enjoys spending time with his wife Melanie and three young children plus getting out for either some boating or the odd round of golf. He is also a keen basketball fan and attends as many Breaker's games as possible.
Bianca is a partner at Minter Ellison Rudd Watts (MERW) specialising in environment and planning law. Bianca has worked in a number of large commercial law firms, as well as smaller boutique firms, over the last 16 years that she has practiced law.
Bianca has had the benefit of supportive mentors throughout her career journey and is passionate about helping other women to achieve their goals.
